RIP: Mark Fidrych

Good gosh. I don't know what to say. I just wrote about the poor guy.

The Bird was truly one of a kind.

In a way, I'm glad that I did write about him a couple of weeks ago. It makes me feel as if I at least appreciated how great Fidrych was while he was alive. It's not much, but without it, all I can focus on is how too soon and too tragic this all is.

Mark was part of my childhood. And, yes, I'm in mourning over that, too.

RIP, Mark.

I just watched the replay of a game against the Yankees from '76 on MLB Network. He was amazing! So sad.

He was just on MLB network... and I have only heard about him being too young to witness his magical season. RIP Big Bird.

Sad indeed, but that one summer. Holy Crap that one summer. Can you image what its like to have a summer like that? How many times did we all dream about that for ourselves and he got to live it?

I'm sure its not much consolation and he passed too soon, but living that summer. Fare thee well Bird, fare thee well.

I can't believe how bummed I am over this.

After watching that game I feel like a guy like Fidrych should never grow old and he should definately never die.
